Synopsis
Act I
A square, a girl in a window who never waves back, and a stolen key.
Act II
The workshop. Swanilda pretends to be a doll pretending to be alive, which is harder than it sounds.
Act III
The festival of the bell, and an apology accepted rather too easily.

Delibes wrote the best comic score in the repertoire and it is chronically under-programmed. Sable Oduya’s staging keeps the workshop full of half-finished automata, all of them built in our own scenic shop and all of them functional.
